December 1st:

Reading: Chapter 15 should cover the rise of the West (middle ages and development of political and economic power) and decline and challenges in Byzantium and Asia.

Paper: This is a "quick" paper and you will have till next class period to write it. Fortunately, you don't really need any outside knowledge to complete it!

Powerpoint: To mix things up, please put together a powerpoint presentation (words and text) for one of the three major American civilizations (Aztec, Mayan, Inca). You should cover the basic topics we've discussed throughout (politics, economics, chronology, religion, etc.)
